Overview
As Operations Director, you’ll be the central driver of execution and alignment across the business. You’ll turn strategy into action, keep the company running smoothly day-to-day, and design the systems that scale with us. This role is both highly strategic and hands-on: part business architect, part air traffic controller, and part force multiplier for the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency
- Anticipate growth bottlenecks and propose strategic solutions
- Own and evolve our operating system (cadence, tools, rhythms)
- Assist in budget planning and reconciliation
- Build and document scalable processes that reduce friction and enable growth
- Conduct regular audits of software, vendors, and tools to optimize spend and efficiency
- Drive AI adoption and fluency across teams
- Planning & Execution
- Drive quarterly and annual planning, including OKR setting, reporting, and alignment
- Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and dependencies are clear
- Provide leadership visibility into progress, risks, and blockers
- Partner with execs to align operational goals with company strategy and long-term growth
- Collaboration & Communication
- Facilitate cross-team coordination and information flow
- Oversee company calendar, internal meetings, and offsite logistics
- Support internal communications (prep materials, consolidate updates)
- Serve as the connective tissue across functions
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of operations, strategy, or related leadership experience in a scaling company
- OKR management experience
- Proven ability to design and optimize processes that enable growth
- Strong project management and change management skills
- Financial acumen across budgeting, vendor contracts, and reconciliations
- Comfortable working at both 10,000 ft and ground level — strategic and executional
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder across all functions
- Growth mindset: embraces experimentation, new tools, and the evolving role of AI in operations
