We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Solutions Engineer to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team in securing strategic enterprise deals. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to design innovative solutions that address complex client challenges and showcase the value of predictable recurring revenue technology driven by Ordergroove. You will also collaborate with our Solutions, Success, Product, and Marketing teams to become a subscription expert and transfer that knowledge to prospects looking for an outstanding relationship commerce partner. Additionally, you’ll build cross-functional relationships with these teams and hand off newly sold clients for implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales executives to develop comprehensive technical proposals for enterprise-level clients on their native eCommerce platform and gain the technical win and close new business.
  • Translate client business needs into technical solutions, ensuring the proposed solutions work within the technical architecture of the product and enable a high-quality product.
  • Architect and design complex implementations that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and workflows.
  • Proactively identify and solve client pain points, exceeding expectations and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Partner with the product teams to stay up-to-date on the latest Ordergroove features, functionality, and best practices.
  • Provide feedback to the product team and coach the organization on opportunities to build new features and functionality into the platform
  • Ensure continuity with account teams post-signature and serve as a point of escalation for technical questions before the start of development
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to educate and engage prospective clients.


  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or engineering within the eCommerce industry
  • Enterprise background with proven experience with Shopify, including in-depth knowledge of its architecture, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices and trends and SaaS technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor technical information for diverse audiences, including creating technical diagrams and flow charts to highlight systems architecture
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, JS, SQL, and API frameworks and API tools such as postman.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for building strong relationships.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with headless commerce architectures and APIs.
