Overview:
Responsible to drive the new business development strategy and direction for new growth and expansion channels across Australia. Your focus will be on broadening our network and uncovering new revenue paths across a range of industry verticals to deliver revenue growth targets
Responsibilities:
- Identify key targets across multiple verticals and work with the team to develop specific plans to secure new logos
- Be focused on broadening your knowledge of the Incentives, Loyalty and Reward channels
- Build a strong network of client partners by uncovering new opportunities, attendances at conference, trade shows and workshops
- Define a clear roadmap of growth opportunities across a broad range of clients
- Aggressively pursue and secure partnerships with key prospects
- Ownership over the sales strategy - the ongoing development and execution. This requires pivoting as the market conditions change
- Project management of tenders and bids. This requires internal stakeholder engagement to be able to pull the resources to execute.
- Maintain key sales reports and CRM
Qualifications:
- BA in business, marketing, or a related field + 8+ years’ experience or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in Business Development or Sales
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with a wide variety of small to medium businesses as potential customers.
- Proven commercial acumen and knowledge of creating growth opportunities and developing new partnerships which deliver growth and financial return
- Understanding of client challenges and how Blackhawk’s solutions can take a business to “the next level”
- Possesses the self-confidence and unique insight required to navigate through ambiguity; constructively challenge conventional wisdom
- Strong execution focus, with a track record for accelerating growth and new market development through partnership development
- Results-oriented individual with a history of setting and obtaining stretch goals, establishing and meeting aggressive timelines, and achieving outstanding performance
- Creates support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; creates a strong network of relationships among peers, partners, external constituencies, decision makers and stakeholders
- Promotes culture of teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results and growth and effective communicator and collaborator
