This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the State of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a "Hybrid" employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.
Overview:
The Sr. Director, Strategic Relationship Manager is a key leader responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of a major business unit within the BHN ecosystem. This role holds direct account responsibility and full portfolio accountability, ensuring partner performance, operational excellence, and long-term growth. The Sr. Director leads the strategic planning and delivery of initiatives that strengthen BHN’s position with top partners while overseeing a team of Strategic Relationship Managers and cross-functional contributors. This leader sets the operating model, develops talent, and ensures disciplined execution across the portfolio, aligning BHN’s strategy with measurable partner and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and implement a robust digital strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Develops and implements comprehensive strategies to improve partner sales operations and differentiate the organization from its competitors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, IT, sales, and other departments to align digital efforts with broader business goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Lead efforts to optimize the digital customer journey for DDPs, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction through digital channels.
- Works closely with key partners at a senior level to meet common goals and ensure that commitments are kept.
Digital Marketing and Branding:
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, social media, and content marketing and investment through driving best practices within Blackhawk’s relationships and marketplace partners.
- Ensure a consistent and compelling digital brand strategy across all online platforms.
Data Analytics and Insights:
- Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of commerce initiatives.
- Build annual plans and playbook
Team Leadership and Talent Development
- Lead a high-performing team of Strategic Relationship Managers, providing clear direction, coaching, and accountability.
- Establish operating rhythms, performance standards, and development plans that elevate team capability and delivery.
- Build organizational strength by hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
- Create a culture of ownership, precision, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
- BA in business, marketing, or a related field +12+ years experience leading growth businesses in the gift card/payments space w/+3 yrs in a people mgmt role.
- Experience leading managers and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high stakes environment.
- Experience managing short & long term road maps
- Extensive experience working with and managing some of the organization's most important partners
- Proven experience in a digital leadership role.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving and achieving business goals.

Benefits:
OTE for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota): $215,350.00 to $280,000.00
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2026, sick pay accrual according to state law, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
