Responsibilities:

  • Assist in enabling new and existing payment types (e.g., credit/debit cards, PayPal, local APMs) across multiple platforms and markets.
  • Help maintain and update payment onboarding runbooks, process guides, and operational documentation.

Troubleshooting & Reporting

  • Monitor operational dashboards, acquirer portals, and transaction reports to identify anomalies or issues.
  • Investigate and triage payment processing failures, approval rate fluctuations, settlement discrepancies, or customerimpacting irregularities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Risk, and Product teams to surface issues and support resolution.

Banking, Settlement & Accounting Coordination

  • Partner with Accounting/Settlement teams to resolve transaction variances, settlement delays, or reconciliation questions.
  • Support review of payment service provider billing, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Assist in annual compliance reviews and documentation requests from acquiring banks and payment service providers.
  • Support internal audit and risk documentation needs (e.g., PCI, KYC/AMLrelated tasks).

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with internal stakeholders regarding payment issues, timelines, and changes.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency, payment reliability, and reporting quality.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.
  • Curious and resourceful—eager to understand how payment systems and operations work and find root causes of issues.
  • Able to work effectively with ambiguity and comfortable determining next steps with limited guidance.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and drive tasks to completion.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering data, clean ups, etc).
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, and operational dashboards.

Preferred

  • +2 years of experience in payments, fintech, financial services, ecommerce operations, or customer support.
  • Familiarity with global payment acquiring, merchant onboarding, or settlement processes.
